The Culture-Cast
The Culture-Cast.org Podcast
http://podcast.culture-cast.org
This is the home of our podcast, which we eventually hope to produce at least once per week in forty-minute episodes, featuring Culture-Cast.org produced content as well as listener submissions concerning our stated goal of aiming a critical eye at media culture, society, politics, and history; as well as providing reviews and recommendations of outstanding independent and off-the-radar artistic works ranging through music, poetry, fiction, photography, film, and other artistic forms. You can retrieve two different versions:
- Enhanced: The enhanced podcast is downloadable in MPEG-4 Audio format (.m4a), which is the preferred format for iTunes and iPod. It allows chapter markers, artwork, better sound quality and compression, and is available through the iTunes podcast directory.
Subscribe to the enhanced version. - Standard: The standard podcast is downloadable in MPEG-3 Audio format (.mp3), an almost universal file format that works on all computers and .mp3 players. Although the sound quality isn't quite at the same level as the enhanced version, and the additional features such as chapter markers and artwork aren't available as easily, it is playable on almost any .mp3 player on the market.
Subscribe to the MP3 version.

The Culture-Cast.org Weblogs
http://blogcast.culture-cast.org
This is our textual media outlet, which will feature longer essays about specific topics, news about the culture-cast.org website, and other information. We hope that, like the podcast, it will eventually incorporate essays and entries from one-time submitters as well as culture-cast.org members, all of which conform to our stated goal of aiming a critical eye at media culture, society, politics, and history; as well as providing reviews and recommendations of outstanding independent and off-the-radar artistic works ranging through music, poetry, fiction, photography, film, and other artistic forms. Note that this is our main blog homepage. Individual bloggers are available from tabs at the top.
