The Culture-Cast.org Community

Culture-Cast.org Podcast CoverCulture-cast.org was founded with the intention of creating a community of interest: listeners and readers, we hoped, would join the effort, send in their own critiques, commentaries, art, music, and more.

We welcome rebuttal, discussion, and submission. Listeners and readers are welcome to submit audio segments, texts, and ideas for segments; likewise, they are welcome to refer us to artists, musicians, and writers whose work is good, but for some reason is not yet in the public eye.

Your submissions can be occasional, a "guest" contributor or artist, or, if the spirit so moves you, you can become a regular member of the culture-cast community. Regular members will receive a profile on the Contributors page, a culture-cast.org e-mail account, and server space for segments or works in progress. You can blog, you can podcast, either or both: the broader the community, the better our commentary.

If you would like to learn more about contributing segments or ideas to the Culture-cast, we have suggestions and guidelines available under Contribute. To refer an artist, simply contact us, or, preferably, put the artist in touch with us, and we'll work out the details, preview the content, and find a way to publish it through our media.

We also have easily accessible information about joining and a quick form you can use to sign up. If you know some one or many someones you think might be interested in contributing content, we have a Call for Content page with a printable flyer: post it or distribute it in any way you wish.

Thanks again, and welcome to the Culture-Cast.org community.

A new entry has just been posted to the BlogCast. The post discusses the recent discovery that the God Squad is now spreading the gospel through the popular console game Halo. Among other interesting questions, it asks, "what better way to impart the bloody and violent legacy of Christianity-as-practiced as opposed to Christianity-as-Christlike-behavior?"

The newest version of the site is in the final phases of adoption. We would like your feedback concerning the appearance and content updates. Some of the biggest changes include updates to navigation (CSS menus - more accessible). Thanks for staying with us as we've continued to update and revise the site moving toward this final release. We hope you stay with us as we continue to grow. If you would like to contact us concerning the new layout or content, please visit the Contact Page. If you are having trouble with the menus (they appear in large, blocky lists), you should upgrade from Internet Explorer 6 to either Firefox 2.0 or IE 7.
